Marie Mejerwall is a long-time veteran of game design. She has led creative teams at more than six game studios around the world and has worked on several famous awardwinning franchises, such as Dead Rising, Deus Ex, RollerCoaster Tycoon and the Batman Arkham series. She started out in programming, transitioned to game design, rose to become a Lead and eventually Game Director over her own game, both building a team, the creative vision and establishing creative processes.
Having worked at many studios and led many creative teams across the globe, Marie has been in or seen most of the situations that creative leaders face in the games industry. This is a series of consultation sessions, usually video calls, but more asynchronous models also exist such as text or recorded video/voice. In Leader support, YOU set the agenda on what each session contains. It could be to just unpack what is happening at the moment in your work life, or to follow-up on a plan or goals that we together lay out. The discussion itself could revolve either around you, someone working close to you or simply your whole team. Needless to say, NDA:s can be signed and everything said is confidential unless there is an explicit ask and permission to share.
