General Advice
Session where the team presents their current plans and design challenges and gets Marie’s advice on how to best move forward.
Progression extension
In this session we map out the current progression system, it’s main beats and completion rates. We then discuss ways to extend horizontally and/or vertically, or even layer in new dimensions such as group goals.
Content Cycle Review
In this session, we look at different strategies & patterns for content update cycles, look at pro’s and cons with each one, look at the player segments and work out a model that fits the team – and community – best.
Deepening Mastery
As players conquer the initial challenges laid out, new layers of depth need to be added to stimulate mastery-wired part of the player base. This session figures out what to add next from both team, tactics and mechanical aspects.
Plotting the Path to Pro
Session analyzing the player journey from beginner to amateur to pro. What does it take to progress, how fast do player segments do so? Does the game give enough guiding and clarity to help players improve their knowledge & skill?
Target Audience Widening
In this session, we discuss which player segments your game already caters to, evaluate if there are any additional ones that could enjoy the game and identify new potential features that would appeal to them.
Sharpen Beats and intensity
We refine the beats (hype moments) and intensity to ensure players get an enjoyable experience filled with ebbs and lows to always keep the player engaged without ever over-stimulating.
Social Mechanics Review
This session reviews the social mechanics in the game discusses what else can be added to give players new activities and goals to achieve to ultimately increase viralness, stickiness and retention.
FTUE & Retention iteration
Session where we map out the FTUE and early player journey, identify churn moments and situations and how to get players to the hook as safely and fast as possible. We also review how & when to them engaged in the game progression.
