Having been in the games and esports industries for a long time in several roles, Marie has vast experience and a solid understanding for most topics within it. She also has a great deal of experience being interviewed herself, having starred in countless livestreamed interviews, podcasts and articles. In addition, Marie received PR training in her past whilst working on game studios and being an official spokesperson. Combined, her understanding for what makes a topic interesting as well as how to conduct an interview makes her a great host for fireside chats. Thus far, she has had the chance to conduct several chats onstage at game conferences, interviewing legendary game creators, fast rising industry stars and even politicians. PROCESS
Briefing & introduction
Marie gets introduced to the guests, often via email, and aligns in the main focus for the interview.
Research
Marie researches the person and topic more in detail to come up with a draft of relevant questions.
Pre-interview
Marie forms initial questions and bounces these against the guest and/or potential PR rep in a call or email exchange. Marie takes note of which questions to not ask, and which have interesting answers.
Iteration
Based on the insights from the pre-interview, Marie chooses sub topics, curates her questions and forms an order to ask them in to create storylines.
Final Draft
Marie sends the final draft to the guest and potential PR rep for approval and preparation. She also prints them on her speaker cards and is ready for the live show.
